Lucknow Super Giants faced Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL yesterday. In this match, Lucknow spinner Digvesh Rathi got a big punishment for celebrating beyond the limit by dismissing Hyderabad batter Abhishek Sharma. He asked the batter to leave the field. As a result, he was banned for one match. Along with this, a large fine will also have to be calculated.
Digwesh is playing for the first time in this IPL. He celebrated by writing his name in a notebook after getting the batter out. For which he had to pay fines repeatedly. But Digwesh did not stop. He celebrated in the same way. This time, he went beyond the limit and asked the batter to leave the field.
Abhishek was playing continuously during Hyderabad’s innings. He scored a half-century in just 18 balls. In the eighth over, Lucknow captain Rishabh Pant gave the ball to Digwesh. Digwesh dismissed Abhishek in the third ball. The controversy started after that.
Digwesh waved at Abhishek and signaled him to quickly leave the field and return to the dressing room. Then he also did a ‘notebook celebration’. The drama did not stop there. Digwesh said something to him again when Abhishek returned.

The Hyderabad batter could not keep his cool after that. He approached Digwesh. He took off his helmet and said something to the Lucknow spinner. Digwesh also spoke back. It is believed that the Lucknow spinner said to Abhishek, ‘I did not tell you anything. Why are you having problems?’ Abhishek did not want to listen. He kept protesting.
Before the matter could escalate further, two umpires on the field intervened. They separated the two cricketers. Lucknow cricketers came and removed Digwesh. One umpire came and let Abhishek almost go to the dugout. The two were seen talking even while shaking hands at the end of the match. Even then, it was clear from Abhishek’s face that he was quite upset.
In addition to being banned for one match, Digesh will have to pay a fine of 50 percent of his match fee. Abhishek has also been punished. He has been fined 25 percent of his match fee.
