New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson has won the Jerry West Trophy as the 2024-25 Kia NBA Clutch Player of the Year.

This award, first given in the 2022-23 season, goes to the player who performs best in the final moments of close games. A panel of 100 media members chose the winner, based on nominations from NBA head coaches.

Brunson led the league this season by scoring 5.6 points per game in “clutch” situations—defined as the last five minutes of the fourth quarter or overtime when the score is close. He made the most field goals (52) in those moments, was second in total points (156), and third in assists (28).

He was very efficient too, shooting 51.5% from the field and 84% from the free-throw line in those clutch moments. The Knicks won 17 of the 28 clutch games Brunson played in.

Over the full season, Brunson averaged 26 points and 7.3 assists in 65 games, ranking 8th in the NBA in both categories. He was also named an All-Star for the second year in a row.

The full voting results for the award were counted by Ernst & Young LLP.
