Rajasthan Royals faced defeat by 11 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
IPL 2025: Rajasthan Royals suffered a humiliating defeat by 11 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the last match. Batting first at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, RCB scored 205 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. In response, Rajasthan’s team has been able to score only 194 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. This is the third time this season that the team has lost the match in the final over.
Rajasthan Royals is facing a lot of criticism due to its shameful performance in the current season. After the match, former legendary player Sunil Gavaskar also lashed out at the Rajasthan batsmen.

“With Rajasthan Royals, I am actually talking about the initial matches where I was not on the field – I just watched them. So, you don’t always get a feel of what is really happening. But here, I was on the field, and you could actually see the kind of cricket that was being played. And with someone like Rahul Dravid as the coach, it was quite surprising – it was cricket without thinking. Dravid was always very precise in his thinking, and I thought that kind of approach would have got ingrained in some of the Rajasthan batsmen as well. Where is the thinking process there? You can’t expect perfect performances from inexperienced players always, but still… it is a different kind of cricket,”
Rajasthan team made an unwanted record
Rajasthan Royals have suffered their fifth consecutive defeat of the season against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Earlier, they had also faced five consecutive defeats in the 2009-2010 season. In this way, the team has equaled its own shameful record. The team is currently at the 8th position in the points table with two wins and 4 points in 9 matches.
