Golden State’s star player, Stephen Curry, had to leave the game in the second quarter of their playoff opener against Minnesota. He injured his left hamstring and the team later said he would not return to the game on Tuesday night.
Curry held the back of his left leg after scoring a floater. Right after that, he walked to the locker room. At that point, he had scored 13 points in just 13 minutes, making 5 of his 9 shots. Just two nights earlier, Curry helped Golden State win Game 7 against Houston.
Curry is a four-time NBA champion and has been an All-Star 11 times. In the first-round series against the Rockets, he averaged 24 points per game for the sixth-seeded Warriors.
