The eliminator match of IPL 2025 was played on 30 May at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, where Gujarat Titans had to face defeat against Mumbai Indians. With this, their dream of winning the trophy also got shattered. Chasing the target of 229 runs given by Mumbai Indians in the match, the Titans team could score only 208 runs and lost by 20 runs.

Talking about the match, Mumbai Indians, batting first, scored 228 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Rohit Sharma presented a tremendous batting display and scored 81 runs in 50 balls. Jonny Bairstow scored a dashing 47 runs in 22 balls.
In response, Gujarat fighters showed struggle. Opener Sai Sudarshan continued his excellent form and scored 80 runs in 49 balls. Washington Sundar also contributed 48 runs in 24 balls. However, he could not lead the team to victory.
MI bowlers bowled very economically in the death overs and also took wickets, as a result of which Mumbai Indians, who were looking in trouble despite scoring a huge score, tasted victory and reached Qualifier-2, where now they will face Punjab Kings.
