The final of the World Test Championship (WTC) is being held in England for the third consecutive time.

The final match of the ongoing cycle of the World Test Championship (WTC) is being held in England for the third consecutive time. The champion of the first cycle was New Zealand cricket team, when they defeated India by 8 wickets in the final of the year 2021 at the Rose Bowl ground in Southampton.

After this, the final match of the second season of WTC was also played in England between India and Australia at Kingston Oval, London, in which Australia won by 209 runs.

At the same time, the final match of the ongoing WTC season will be played between Australia and South Africa at Lord’s Cricket Ground from June 11. Meanwhile, some reports had surfaced that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) wants to host the final of the fourth round of WTC.

But amidst all this, Australian captain Pat Cummins has made a big statement. Cummins has said that the WTC champion should get the hosting rights of the final of the next edition.

Before the WTC final match against South Africa, Pat Cummins was quoted by India Today Cricket as saying – Logically, it seems that organizing it at one place is probably the easiest way.

It would be nice, but it would be better if the winner of the previous season hosts the final match. However, I think organizing it at Lord’s every time is also a good place.

Cummins further said about the Australian team – The last four years have been very successful for this group. It has been a huge part of the players, support staff and our careers. If we win this time, having two maces (trophies) is a really important thing.

We feel that we have all been the best team in the world in different situations and finally holding the mace will be a huge sign, which will be seen not only now but also in the future.
